Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Delight 🍗🥦🍝

Comforting, creamy, and packed with flavor, this Chicken and Broccoli Pasta is a family-favorite dinner that comes together in under 40 minutes. Juicy chicken, tender broccoli, and perfectly cooked pasta are tossed in a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce that feels indulgent yet balanced. Ideal for busy weeknights or cozy weekend meals!


Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)

  • Salt, for boiling water

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Broccoli:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Optional Garnish:

  • Extra Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta & Broccoli

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.

  3. During the last 2 minutes, add broccoli florets to the boiling pasta water.

  4. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.


Step 2: Cook the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and fully cooked.

  4. Remove from skillet, let rest, then slice into strips or cubes.


Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 1 minute.

  4. Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

  5. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
