2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1/2 cup brown sugar
-
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
-
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
8 strips of thick-cut bacon
Optional for Serving:
-
Dipping sauces: honey mustard, ranch, BBQ sauce
-
Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
-
Cut each chicken breast into 4 long, thin strips, about 1–1.5 inches wide.
-
Pat the strips dry with a paper towel to help the brown sugar stick better.
Step 3: Coat the Chicken
-
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, kosher salt, and ground black pepper.
-
Toss the chicken strips in the brown sugar mixture until each piece is well coated.
Step 4: Wrap with Bacon
-
Take one strip of bacon and wrap it around each chicken tender, securing the ends underneath.
-
Place the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each piece.
Step 5: Add Extra Brown Sugar
-
Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar evenly over the top of the chicken and bacon.
-
Optional: drizzle a small amount of olive oil or melted butter over the top for extra caramelization.
