🍔 White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers 🧀🌿
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken
1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
1 small onion, finely diced (optional)
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)
1 egg (to bind)
¼ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for texture)
Burger buns and toppings of choice
Instructions:
Prepare the mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix gently until just combined — don’t overwork it to keep burgers tender.
Form patties:
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
Cook the burgers:
Heat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook patties for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the burgers are nicely browned.
Assemble:
Toast burger buns if desired. Serve patties on buns with your favorite toppings — lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, avocado, pickles, etc.
Tips:
Add some fresh herbs like parsley or basil for extra flavor.
For extra cheesy goodness, place a slice of cheddar on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Serve with sweet potato fries or a fresh side salad.
