Turtle Lasagna Dessert
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies (crushed)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip (divided)
1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 3/4 cups cold milk
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (slightly warmed)
1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions:
Prepare the Crust:
In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Combine the crushed cookies with melted butter until well mixed. Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Chill the crust in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set.
Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Fold in half of the Cool Whip. Spread this mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes). Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
Top with Cool Whip:
Spread the remaining Cool Whip evenly over the chocolate pudding layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.
Add Toppings:
Drizzle the caramel and hot fudge sauces over the top of the lasagna. Then, sprinkle the chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips evenly across the top.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the layers to set. Once ready, slice into squares and enjoy!
