Texas Trash Dip

Ingredients:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 (16 oz) can refried beans
1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies, drained
1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1/4 cup chopped jalapeños (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Mix the Base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, and taco seasoning. Mix until smooth and well blended.
Add the Cheese:
Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese, and the diced green chilies. If desired, you can also mix in the black olives and jalapeños for extra flavor and spice.
Transfer to Baking Dish:
Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Top with More Cheese:
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the dip to create a melty, cheesy layer.
Bake:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Serve Warm:
Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced veggies for dipping.
