Tender and Juicy Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Steak:
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat the Pan:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Sear the Steak:
Add the steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan; work in batches if necessary. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare Garlic Butter:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter, allowing it to melt and become slightly bubbly.
Add Garlic and Herbs:
Stir in the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Cook for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
Combine Steak and Butter:
Return the steak bites to the skillet. Toss to coat the steak evenly with the garlic butter sauce. If using, stir in the soy sauce and lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for added depth of flavor.
Cook and Finish:
Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the steak bites are heated through and well-coated with the garlic butter. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper, if needed.
Garnish and Serve:
Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
