Taco Hissy Fit Dip
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 cup salsa (mild or spicy, depending on preference)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced green onions
1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
1/2 cup chopped black olives (optional)
Tortilla chips (for serving)
Directions:
Prepare the Meat:
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the taco seasoning mix and follow the instructions on the packet (usually adding water). Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Dip Base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa. Stir until smooth and well blended.
Assemble the Dip:
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a baking dish (9×9 inch works well).
Evenly layer the seasoned ground beef mixture on top of the cream cheese mixture.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef layer.
Bake the Dip:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the dip for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and top with diced green onions, tomatoes, and black olives if desired.
Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
