Taco Bowl Recipe

Ingredients:
For the Taco Meat:
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey or chicken)
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Rice:
1 cup rice (white, brown, or Mexican rice)
2 cups water or chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lime juice (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional)
Toppings (Customize as Desired):
1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup corn (canned, frozen, or fresh)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo
1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup guacamole or sliced avocado
1/4 cup sliced jalapeƱos (optional)
Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Tortilla chips for crunch (optional)

Instructions:
Cook the Rice:
In a medium pot, bring the water or chicken broth to a boil. Add the rice and salt. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the liquid is absorbed.
If using, stir in the lime juice and cilantro once the rice is cooked. Set aside.
Prepare the Taco Meat:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef (or your choice of protein) and cook, breaking it up into crumbles, until fully browned.
Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the seasoning to fully coat the meat. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Taco Bowl:
Start by placing a layer of rice at the bottom of each bowl.
Add a scoop of the taco meat on top of the rice.
Layer on your preferred toppings: black beans, corn, shredded lettuce, salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and jalapeƱos.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and a handful of tortilla chips for added crunch.
Serve:
Serve your taco bowls immediately, and let everyone customize with additional toppings to their liking.
