Taco Bell Frito Burrito (Copycat)
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
2/3 cup water
1 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese
1 cup cooked white rice
1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
1 cup Fritos corn chips
4 large flour tortillas (burrito-sized)
Directions:
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Season the Meat:
Add the taco seasoning packet and 2/3 cup water to the skillet. Stir well and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the beef is fully seasoned.
Prepare the Rice:
If you haven’t already, cook the rice according to package instructions. Set it aside.
Warm the Tortillas:
Heat the flour tortillas in the microwave for about 15 seconds to make them easier to fold.
Assemble the Burritos:
Lay a warmed tortilla flat and begin layering your ingredients in the center. Start with 1/4 cup seasoned ground beef, then add a scoop of cooked rice, a drizzle of nacho cheese sauce, and a handful of Fritos corn chips for crunch.
Add Toppings:
Optionally, add a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle shredded Mexican blend cheese on top.
Wrap the Burrito:
Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a burrito. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.
Serve:
Serve immediately with additional Fritos or salsa on the side. Enjoy your crunchy, cheesy Taco Bell-style Frito burrito!
