Strawberry Punch
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups water
1 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 cups pineapple juice
1 liter ginger ale (chilled)
1 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves or strawberry slices for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Strawberry Syrup:
In a blender or food processor, puree the sliced strawberries until smooth.
In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberry puree and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens slightly (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and let the strawberry syrup cool to room temperature.
Mix the Punch:
In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, water, lemon juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and almond extract (if using).
Stir the mixture until well combined.
Add Ginger Ale:
Just before serving, gently stir in the chilled ginger ale. This adds a fizzy element to the punch.
Serve:
Add ice cubes to the punch to keep it chilled.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves or sliced strawberries for a festive touch.
