Steak and Cheese Skillet

Steak and Cheese Skillet

Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Cook the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Combine and Season: Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through and allow flavors to meld.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt, about 2 minutes.
Serve: Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
