Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8 oz egg noodles
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup sour cream
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
Cook the Noodles:
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Make the Sauce:
Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into the beef mixture. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Remove from heat.
Make the Creamy Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, softened cream cheese, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Casserole:
In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the cooked egg noodles, followed by half of the beef mixture. Spread the creamy cheese mixture on top of the beef. Add another layer of the remaining noodles and beef.
Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden on top.
Garnish and Serve:
Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
