Slow Cooker Garlic Herb Turkey Breast Recipe

Slow Cooker Garlic Herb Turkey Breast Recipe

Ingredients:
1 (4-6 pound) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
1 tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)
1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional garnish: Fresh herbs (for serving)

Instructions:
Prepare the turkey breast:
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. If using a bone-in turkey breast, make sure the bone side is down when placing it in the slow cooker.
Make the garlic herb butter:
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, sage, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Season the turkey:
Rub the garlic herb butter mixture all over the turkey breast, making sure to get some of the mixture under the skin for extra flavor.
Add broth to the slow cooker:
Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the seasoned turkey breast on top.
Slow cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the turkey breast and your slow cooker.
Optional: Broil for crispy skin:
If you prefer a crispy skin, transfer the cooked turkey breast to a baking sheet and place it under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
Rest and serve:
Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
