Slap Ya Momma Pound Cake

Slap Ya Momma Pound Cake
A moist, buttery, and sweet pound cake that’s guaranteed to impress and satisfy!

Ingredients:
For the Pound Cake:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 ¾ cups granulated sugar

6 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or a loaf pan.

Mix dry ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Cream the butter and sugar:
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 4-5 minutes).

Add the eggs:
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Incorporate the vanilla:
Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

Alternate dry ingredients and wet ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with a few splashes of water or milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Pour and bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Cool and serve:
Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!

💡 Tips:
For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.

Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of glaze for an added touch of sweetness.

This cake can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or frozen for longer storage.
