Savory Beef and Rice Bake with Cheddar Melt

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 cup rice (uncooked)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Add uncooked rice to the mixture and stir. Pour everything into a greased casserole dish.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
