Sausage Cheese Dip

Ingredients:
1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Tortilla chips, for serving

Directions:
Cook the Sausage:
In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Continue cooking until the sausage is fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
Add the Rotel and Cream Cheese:
Reduce the heat to low and add the can of Rotel (with the juices) to the skillet with the cooked sausage. Stir in the softened cream cheese until it’s fully melted and combined with the sausage and Rotel mixture.
Add the Cheddar Cheese and Sour Cream:
Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt completely into the dip. Once the cheese is fully melted, stir in the sour cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Garnish and Serve:
Transfer the sausage cheese dip to a serving bowl. If desired, top with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro for added flavor and color. Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips.
