Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh spinach (or 2 bags), washed and trimmed

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional, for extra warmth)

  • Optional garnish: extra Parmesan, breadcrumbs, or chopped parsley


Directions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

  2. Sauté Garlic & Spinach
    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Add spinach in batches, stirring until wilted and most moisture evaporates.

  3. Prepare Creamy Mixture
    Lower heat and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Cook 2–3 minutes until cheeses begin to melt and sauce is creamy.

  4. Transfer to Baking Dish
    Pour the creamy spinach mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.

  5. Bake
