Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie
A rich, no-bake dessert that tastes just like your favorite candy—this pie layers creamy peanut butter filling inside a chocolate shell for an irresistible treat.
Ingredients:
For the Crust & Topping:
4 cups milk chocolate chips (divided)
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
For the Peanut Butter Filling:
2 cups creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, softened
Instructions:
Make the Chocolate Base:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 cups chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon shortening.
Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
Pour into a 9-inch pie dish and spread evenly across the bottom and up the sides.
Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes until set.
Make the Filling:
In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter until creamy and smooth.
Spread the mixture evenly into the chilled chocolate crust.
Top with More Chocolate:
Melt the remaining 2 cups chocolate chips with the remaining 1 tablespoon shortening using the same microwave method.
Pour over the peanut butter layer and smooth with a spatula.
Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.
Serve:
Slice and enjoy! For clean slices, warm your knife under hot water and wipe between cuts.
Optional Add-ons:
Sprinkle with crushed Reese’s cups or peanut butter chips before the top layer sets.
