Pizza Monkey Bread
Ingredients:
2 cans (16 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (or pizza dough)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni slices, quartered (or your favorite pizza toppings)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1/2 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Bundt pan or a large oven-safe dish.
Prepare the dough:
Cut the biscuit dough into quarters. If you’re using pizza dough, tear it into small pieces (about 1-2 inch in size).
Assemble the monkey bread:
In a large mixing bowl, toss the dough pieces with melted butter, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Add the shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese. Mix everything together until the dough pieces are coated and the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Layer in the pan:
Layer the dough mixture evenly in the prepared Bundt pan, making sure to distribute the cheese and toppings throughout the bread.
Bake:
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. You can check the center with a toothpick to make sure it’s fully cooked. If the top is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
Cool slightly and serve:
Let the pizza monkey bread cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before turning it out onto a serving plate.
Serve with pizza sauce:
Serve warm with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.
