Braising & Glaze Ingredients

1 cup pineapple juice (or crushed pineapple with juice)

¼ cup soy sauce

¼ cup brown sugar or honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

1️⃣ Sear the Pork

Pat pork dry and season with salt and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a heavy pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear pork chunks on all sides until deeply browned. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Build the Braising Liquid

In the same pot, add garlic and ginger (if using). Sauté briefly until fragrant.

Stir in pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar, scraping up browned bits.
3️⃣ Braise

Return pork to the pot, ensuring pieces are mostly submerged.

4️⃣ Glaze & Reduce
