Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
1 small red bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded (or a cheese blend of your choice)
4 hamburger buns
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Directions:
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.
Sauté the Vegetables:
Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
Add the Sauces:
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and let the mixture simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Melt the Cheese:
Reduce the heat to low and sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid for a couple of minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
Assemble the Sloppy Joes:
Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the cheesesteak mixture generously onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
