Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
1 large French baguette, halved lengthwise
1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 slices provolone cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the Steak:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and season with salt and pepper.
Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms.
Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.
Add Worcestershire sauce and stir well to combine.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mix with the vegetables, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Prepare Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, combine softened butter and minced garlic. Spread this mixture evenly on the cut sides of the baguette halves.
Assemble the Garlic Bread:
Place the garlic-buttered baguette halves on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
Top each half with slices of provolone cheese, then spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly on top.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the steak mixture.
Bake:
Place the garlic bread in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is crispy.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Slice and serve hot.
