Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
1 large French bread loaf, halved lengthwise
1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined. Set aside.
Cook the Steak:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are softened. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
Assemble the Garlic Bread:
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the French bread.
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes until slightly crispy.
Add Cheesesteak Filling:
Remove the bread from the oven. Layer the cooked ribeye steak over the garlic buttered bread, followed by the sautéed vegetables.
Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone cheese generously over the top.
Bake:
Return the bread to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Slice and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the garlic bread cool for a couple of minutes before slicing into servings. Enjoy warm with extra cheese on top if desired.
