Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
4 sandwich buns
4 slices provolone cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, drain excess grease.
Add Vegetables: Add the diced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add Sauce: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens. If you want a thicker sauce, dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add it to the mixture, stirring until it thickens.
Assemble Sloppy Joes: Season with salt and pepper. Spoon the beef mixture onto the sandwich buns.
Top with Cheese: Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each sloppy joe. Serve immediately and enjoy!
