Prep the bread:
Butter one side of each bread slice generously. -
Assemble the sandwich:
Place 2 slices of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet or pan. Spread marinara on each slice, layer mozzarella, then pepperoni. Top with remaining bread, buttered side up. -
Cook the grilled cheese:
Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Press lightly with a spatula for even melting. -
Serve:
Slice in half and serve hot with extra marinara for dipping if desired 😋
