Ingredients
For the Cookie Bars:
1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Peanut Butter Frosting:
½ cup butter (1 stick), softened
½ cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cookie Bars
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Step 2: Bake the Cookie Bars
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
Step 3: Make the Peanut Butter Frosting
In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the butter and peanut butter until smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk, until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4: Frost the Cookie Bars
Once the cookie bars have cooled, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top.
Cut into squares or bars and serve.
