Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 cup butter, melted (2 sticks)
1 cup crushed peanut butter cups (about 10-12 mini cups or 5 regular-sized cups)
1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare Peanut Butter Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, milk, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
Layer Ingredients:
Pour the peanut butter mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add Cake Mix:
Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the peanut butter mixture. Do not mix; just spread it out.
Add Butter:
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
Add Peanut Butter Cups:
Sprinkle the crushed peanut butter cups evenly over the top of the cake.
Optional Toppings:
If desired, sprinkle mini marshmallows and chopped peanuts over the top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set and the top is golden brown. The cake will have a crumbly top and a gooey, peanut butter-infused layer underneath.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature, and is great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
