Light, airy, and golden brown, these delicate pastries are made from simple ingredients but deliver a divine, bakery-worthy treat.

Ingredients:
½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter

1 cup (240 ml) whole milk

1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour

Pinch of salt

4 large eggs

1 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Optional Add-ins:

Pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg

Citrus zest for brightness

Directions:
Preheat Oven & Prep Pan:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin thoroughly or use non-stick spray.

Make the Dough Base:
In a medium saucepan, heat the butter and milk over medium heat until it reaches a full boil.
Quickly stir in the flour and salt all at once.
Lower the heat and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides.

Cool Slightly & Add Eggs:
Remove from heat and let the dough cool for 5 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth.
Stir in the sugar and optional vanilla (and spices/zest if using).

Bake the Puffs:
Spoon the dough evenly into the prepared muffin cups, filling each halfway.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown.
Do not open the oven door during baking to prevent collapse.

Serve & Enjoy:
Let the puffs cool slightly before removing from the pan.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
