My Husband Was Caught on the Baby Camera at 2 A.M. Every Night Holding a Paper Bag — When I Saw What Was Inside, I Gasped

Bringing the baby home was supposed to be a major transition, but nothing could have prepared me for how extreme that transition would feel.

Postpartum depression weighed me down. My body was changed beyond recognition, and lack of sleep left entire days a blur. Despite this, I believed my husband and I had the same priorities: caring for our newborn, focusing on our health, and hoping for a life that made sense again.

That’s what I thought.

Soon, I began to note that repeatedly, I’d wake up overnight and notice my husband not by my side. At first, I suspected he was simply using the bathroom or staying up late with his games due to stress.

Yet, after too many nights without him in bed, I checked the baby camera app on my phone.

Watching the recordings from the baby’s early weeks, I was astonished. My husband went into the nursery, always around 2 a.m., with a paper bag each night.

Sometimes the bag was petite, other times more substantial.

Night after night, he’d repeat his routine: approaching the crib, looking in on our baby, then settling onto the floor.

When he opened the paper bag, seeing what was inside made me gasp. ⬇️
