Mom’s Butter Baked Chicken

Mom’s Butter Baked Chicken

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, coating all sides evenly.
Brown the Chicken:
In a large ovenproof skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted and hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
Prepare the Cream Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the heavy cream and chicken broth. Pour the mixture over the browned chicken in the skillet.
Bake the Chicken:
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender, and the sauce has thickened.
Garnish and Serve:
Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven. Garnish the chicken with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Serve the butter-baked chicken with the creamy sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish.
