Rich, cheesy, and comforting—this baked spaghetti casserole is layered like lasagna but even easier to make! Perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

🧾 Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef

1 jar (about 24 oz) spaghetti sauce

8 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup sour cream

½ lb cottage cheese (1 cup)

½ cup (1 stick) butter

1 package (16 oz) spaghetti

Optional: shredded mozzarella or parmesan for topping

👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Preheat Oven:

Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13″ baking dish.

Cook the Pasta:

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.

Drain, then return to the pot and toss with half the butter (¼ cup) sliced into pats.

Cook the Meat Sauce:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.

Drain any excess grease and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Make the Cheese Mixture:

In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth.

Assemble the Layers:

Add half the spaghetti to the prepared dish.

Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the pasta.

Layer the remaining spaghetti on top.

Pour the meat sauce over everything.

Dot the top with the remaining butter.

Bake:

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil, add shredded cheese (if using), and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Cool & Serve:

Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
