Marry Me Chicken Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Extra grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, dried thyme, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer the sauce for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve:
Slice the cooked chicken breasts and return them to the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and extra grated Parmesan cheese.
