Marry Me Chicken Pasta

Marry Me Chicken Pasta

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne works best)
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, oregano, and thyme. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Cook the Pasta:
While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Combine Everything:
Slice the chicken breasts and add them back to the skillet with the sauce.
Toss in the cooked pasta and stir until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy!
