Marry Me Chicken

Marry Me Chicken

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh basil, for garnish

Directions:
Season the Chicken:
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Sear the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
Sauté the Garlic:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the Cream Sauce:
Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, thyme, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Simmer the Chicken:
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil and serve with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, allowing the rich, creamy sauce to complement the dish.
