Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
6 slices of bacon, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:
Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Add Bacon:
Spread the Brussels sprouts out evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the Brussels sprouts.
Roast the Brussels Sprouts:
Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking, until the Brussels sprouts are crispy and caramelized, and the bacon is fully cooked.
Add Maple Syrup and Balsamic Vinegar:
In the final 5 minutes of roasting, drizzle the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar over the Brussels sprouts and bacon. Stir to coat, and return to the oven for the remaining cooking time.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. Serve hot as a savory and sweet side dish.
