Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on optional)

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt, to taste

  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • Fresh sage leaves (optional, for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions

  1. Prep the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

  2. Heat the Garlic Butter Oil
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil until shimmering. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).

  3. Cook the Shrimp
Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

  4. Add Lemon & Herbs
Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Spoon the garlic butter oil over the shrimp as it finishes cooking.

  5. Finish & Garnish
Remove from heat. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and garnish with sage leaves if using.

  6. Serve
Serve immediately with lemon wedges for extra brightness.
