Lemon Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk (optional, for consistency)

Directions:
Cream the Butter:
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add Powdered Sugar:
Gradually add in the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating on low speed after each addition until fully combined.
Add Lemon Flavor:
Pour in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Continue to mix on medium speed until the frosting becomes light and fluffy.
Adjust Consistency (Optional):
If the frosting is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream or milk at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
Whip and Finish:
Beat the frosting on medium-high speed for an additional 2-3 minutes until it’s silky and smooth.
