Hot Fudge Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Pie:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra fudginess)
For Serving (Optional):
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
Extra chocolate sauce or fudge sauce
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Pie Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined. The batter will be thick.
If using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter.
Bake the Pie:
Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch pie pan or a similar-sized baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. The pie should be set around the edges but slightly gooey in the center.
Allow the pie to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. This will help it set and make it easier to slice.
Serve:
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Drizzle with extra chocolate sauce or fudge sauce, if desired.
