Hot Crab Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb lump crab meat, drained and picked over for shells
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions (plus extra for garnish)
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (plus extra for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 1-quart baking dish.
Mix the Base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add the Cheese and Seasonings:
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and hot sauce (if using). Mix until well combined.
Fold in the Crab and Herbs:
Gently fold in the lump crab meat, chopped green onions, and chopped fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bake:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown on top.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the dip cool slightly. Garnish with additional chopped green onions and parsley. Serve warm with crackers, bread, or vegetables.
