Honey Garlic Pork Chops
Ingredients:
Pork Chops: 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
Honey: 1/4 cup
Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
Apple Cider Vinegar: 2 tablespoons
Dried Thyme: 1 teaspoon
Salt and Pepper: to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Pork Chops: Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear the Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and dried thyme. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Combine and Simmer: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Reduce the heat to low and let the pork chops simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Serve: Serve the pork chops hot, drizzled with extra sauce from the skillet. They pair wonderfully with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
