Honey Garlic Chicken Breast Skillet recipe

Honey Garlic Chicken Breast Skillet recipe

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:
Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and fully cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter.
Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar, and simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Coat the Chicken:
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the honey garlic sauce over them.
Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes, turning to coat each piece thoroughly.
Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
Pair with steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
