  • 1/4 cup minced fresh garlic (nearly 1 medium head)

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika

  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth (optional, for extra flavor)

Optional Serving Suggestions:

  • Steamed white rice or jasmine rice

  • Garlic butter noodles

  • Fresh Hawaiian-style salad

  • Toasted bread for dipping

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp

  1. Rinse shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. In a small bowl, toss shrimp with paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, black pepper, and flour until evenly coated.

Step 2: Sauté the Garlic

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned (burnt garlic turns bitter).

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.

  2. Cook 2–3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook an additional 2–3 minutes until shrimp are pink, opaque, and slightly golden.

  3. Optional: Add white wine or chicken broth to deglaze the pan for extra flavor and a light sauce.

Step 4: Add Lemon & Finish

  1. Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.

  2. Toss shrimp gently to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
