Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake

Ingredients:
1 pound penne pasta
2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add Cream and Broth: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add Parmesan and Chicken: Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Add the cooked chicken and mix well.
Combine with Pasta: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
Assemble and Bake: Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
