Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1½ Tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Directions

  1. Brown the Beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess grease if needed.

  2. Add Garlic & Seasoning
Stir in butter, garlic, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add Rice & Broth
Stir in uncooked rice and beef broth. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 15–18 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid absorbed.

  4. Make It Creamy & Cheesy
Stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Cook uncovered 2–3 minutes until melted and creamy.

  5. Serve
Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve hot.
