Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Cook Garlic:
In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
Add Brown Sugar:
Stir in the brown sugar and red pepper flakes (if using) until the sugar is melted and forms a sauce.
Coat Chicken:
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet with the garlic and brown sugar mixture. Spoon the sauce over the chicken to coat it evenly.
Bake:
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Garnish and Serve:
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
