Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic 🥬🥓🧄
A Southern-style favorite—savory, smoky, and loaded with flavor. Perfect as a hearty side dish or main!

📝 Ingredients:
1 small head of cabbage, chopped

4–6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

3–4 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.

Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.

Sauté Onion & Garlic

Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook until soft and translucent (about 4–5 minutes).

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.

Add Cabbage

Toss in the chopped cabbage. Stir well to coat it with the bacon grease and mix with the onions and garlic.

Cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and starts to brown.

Season & Finish

Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together and serve hot!

🍽️ Tips:
Want it spicy? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Serve as a side to grilled meats, or enjoy as a low-carb main dish.
