Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese π₯©π§π§
π Ingredients:
3-4 large sweet onions, sliced π§
4 tablespoons salted butter π§

1 pound ground beef π₯©
1 cup breadcrumbs π
1/4 cup milk π₯
1 large egg π₯
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese π§

1οΈβ£ Caramelize the Onions:
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle with salt. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
2οΈβ£ Mix the Meatloaf:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
3οΈβ£ Shape the Meatloaf:
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the crockpot.
4οΈβ£ Top with Onions:
Top the meatloaf with the caramelized onions, spreading them evenly over the top.

Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160Β°F (70Β°C).

About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf. Cover and let it melt.
