French Onion Chicken Bubble Up
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works well)
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
1 packet (1 oz) dry French onion soup mix
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Prepare the Biscuit Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and set aside.
Cook the Onion: In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 4-5 minutes, until softened and lightly caramelized.
Make the Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the French onion soup mix, sour cream, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Assemble the Dish: In the prepared baking dish, add the biscuit pieces, shredded chicken, sautéed onions, and French onion sauce. Gently toss to combine, ensuring everything is evenly distributed.
Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese over the top of the mixture.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this cheesy, comforting French Onion Chicken Bubble Up!
