Easy Fruit Cobbler

Easy Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cups fresh or frozen fruit (peaches, berries, apples, or a mix)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional for fruit topping)

Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Prepare Fruit:
If using fresh fruit, peel and slice as needed. Toss the fruit with lemon juice for extra flavor if desired. You can also sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over the fruit if you prefer a sweeter cobbler.
Mix Batter:
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the milk and melted butter, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
Assemble the Cobbler:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Evenly distribute the fruit on top of the batter. The batter will rise around the fruit as it bakes, creating a cobbler crust.
Bake:
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cobbler to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Storage:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave.
