Donut Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:
For the Muffins:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
For the Topping:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.
Make the Muffin Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.
Fill the Muffin Cups:
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
Bake the Muffins:
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Prepare the Topping:
While the muffins are baking, melt the butter for the topping in a small bowl. In another small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
Coat the Muffins:
Once the muffins are baked and still warm, remove them from the tin. Dip each muffin top into the melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.

Serve and Enjoy:
Place the coated muffins on a wire rack to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
